Yes, a Savanna vacation may not be heard of all too often, but it's a hidden gem in the south eastern corner of the U.S.

Although much of what Savannah has to offer is beautiful, it's richness is in the blending of the past and present. The south in summer is always warm and balmy. This seaside city is abutted with parks and sanctuaries, making the seaside a wonderful experience both for exploring and simply enjoying the scenery.

If you like historical buildings, brick streets, enjoy fine dining and new sight and sounds, then the city of Savannah is the place for you. Since this beautiful city sits on the waterfront, you have that option of riding a fairy boat, or simply taking a stroll down the water's edge. You don't get any better adult romantic vacation experience than that.

Since Savanna is a place of old wealth many people don't seem to be concerned about any newcomers. This is the south however and it's a good thing to remember that many in this port of the country haven't forgotten good manners and respect. This means that care should be taken not to abuse the lifestyle and simply enjoy the southern hospitality that this area is famous for.

If you're looking for that quick weekend getaway or a different honeymoon location without the crowds and tourism, consider Savannah, GA. the belle of the south. Take a walk into history or enjoy the nightlife all most likely within walking distance of your hotel. For adults, it certainly beats the mouse ears and a roller coaster found a little more to the south in Florida...but that's a different story.
