Traveling is hectic and stressful enough with the security and other such problems. The once pleasant airplane trip to somewhere exotic has given way to constant identification checks along with luggage inspections.
One way to limit the time in the long lines having your things gone thru is not to take so much. By simply getting a computer rental at your destination, you no longer need to worry about your expensive laptop possibly being stolen or damaged when in transit.
The thing about renting a computer is that with the advent of the USB flash memory, it's now possible to load your data onto a device no longer than a key chain and take it with you. Talk about convenient.
The thing I like about doing a computer rental once I arrive is that I no longer worry about my own laptop. Traveling with such an expensive piece of equipment is a constant concern. Laptops and computer equipment are two of the most popular pieces of luggage that are stolen.
It's possible to listen to music on the computer using your USB memory device as well. Remember that whatever you want to take in the way of data, it's simply loaded onto the memory chip and you're set.
- Inventory of fixtures (on arrival and departure) -- This is done in the presence of both the owner (or his representative) and the renter and it is signed by both. Must also be noted, for each room, the general state of important elements (floor, walls, piping, toilet, electrical installation, kitchen equipment, wardrobes, etc.) and their condition: new, good or used; do not forget to read and note the figures on the various meters upon arrival and leaving - water, telephone, electricity and gas - if they are not already included in the rent. Finally, all objects missing from the inventory should be noted upon arrival.
- Description of the property -- This is a document in which a full description of the property is given : location, amenities, booking conditions. Owners who rent out professionally have to fill in a form. For all furnished accommodations' seasonal bookings, the renter must be given a full description of the property before confirming the booking.
- Service charges -- If they are not included in the rent, these must be partially paid for by the renter and calculated by taking the average of the previous costs (according to the owner's estimation) or by taking the actual cost: water supply, telephone bill, electricity and gas supply. If the real figures are to be taken into account, you should read the meters and note the figures upon arrival and departure.
